Yes, your unit is working as intended. The blue light turns off for 20 minutes every 2 hours. This downtime is a normal part of the purifier's operation, allowing the reactor cell's crystalline matrix to regenerate and extending the life of the lamp. All of our efficacy testing has been conducted with this downtime, and the space is still being purified by ions even when the light is off.
