Intermittent Power Issues on CoreUpdated 15 days ago
If your Puraclenz Core is losing power intermittently or failing to turn on, below are the three most common causes and how to fix them.
1. Check the Bottom Safety Latch
The most common cause of power loss is an unlocked base. If the latch is not fully locked, the connection can be interrupted even by slight vibrations.
The Fix: Locate the sliding latch at the base of the unit (near the power cord). Ensure it is slid completely to the Locked position.
Pro Tip: If you recently changed your filter, double-check that the top housing is sitting completely flush against the base before sliding the latch. If there is even a tiny gap, the latch may not slide properly into the locked position.

2. Verify Your Power Outlet (Switch-Controlled Outlets)
It sounds simple, but many homes and offices have "switched outlets"—outlets that are controlled by a wall switch intended for lamps.
The Fix: Ensure your purifier is plugged into a "constant-on" outlet. If you must use a switched outlet, make sure the wall switch is taped or guarded so it isn't accidentally flipped off during routine cleaning or when leaving a room. Since the Core 750 is designed to run 24/7, any interruption in power stops the ion-saturation process.
3. Ensure Adequate Electrical Service
While the Core 750 is energy-efficient (consuming between 23W and 49W), it requires a stable electrical environment.
The Requirement: We recommend that the unit be plugged into a circuit with at least 20 Amps of service. If the circuit is overloaded with other high-draw appliances (like space heaters, hair dryers, irons, vacuums, or large printers), it may cause a voltage drop that triggers the purifier to shut down as a safety precaution.
Still having trouble?
If you have confirmed the latch is locked, the outlet is live, and the circuit is not overloaded, but the unit still loses power, please try the following:
Unplug the unit for 30 seconds.
Plug it into a different outlet in a different room to rule out a localized electrical issue.
