Best Practices for Moving Your Puraclenz CoreUpdated 15 days ago
While the Core is designed to be a "set and forget" system for large-scale purification, we understand that you may occasionally need to relocate the unit—whether you are moving to a new home, rearranging your office, or shifting it to a different room for deep cleaning.
To ensure the safety of the device and maintain continuous power, please follow these essential guidelines:
1. Secure the Unit Before Moving
Before you lift the purifier, verify that the Bottom Latch is in the fully locked position. This latch keeps the heavy top housing and the HEPA filter securely attached to the base. If the unit is unlocked while being lifted, the base could fall off, potentially causing injury or damaging the internal UV lamp and PCO Recharge Cell.
2. Always Use the Built-In Handle
The Core is a precision instrument and is relatively tall. Never lift the unit by the top cover or the outer plastic shell alone.
The Fix: Use the integrated carrying handle designed to support the unit’s weight. This ensures the internal components stay aligned and prevents unnecessary stress on the housing.

3. Re-Check the Latch After Placement
Moving the unit can sometimes cause the Bottom Latch to shift slightly while being carried or if it makes contact with furniture.
The Fix: Once you have placed the purifier in its new location, double-check the Bottom Latch is still pushed completely to the Locked position. If the latch is even slightly unlocked, the unit may fail to power on or may shut off intermittently.
4. Verify Your New Power Source
Whenever you plug your Core into a new outlet, keep these two electrical requirements in mind:
Avoid Switched Outlets: Ensure the new outlet is not controlled by a wall switch. Accidental shut-offs interrupt the 24/7 purification cycle and require the ions to "re-saturate" the room from scratch.
Check Circuit Capacity: For optimal performance, plug the unit into a circuit with at least 20 Amps of service to ensure a stable and consistent flow of power.
A Reminder on Large-Space Coverage
Remember that the Core is designed to cover up to 3,000 square feet. You do not need to move the unit from room to room for "targeted relief." As long as the unit is in a central location and interior doors are left open, the ions will naturally fill the entire space. Continuous operation in one spot is always more effective than intermittent operation in multiple spots.
