How do I clean or replace the Photon Pre-Filter?Updated a month ago

The pre-filter protects the unit's cell from dust and large particles. Each purifier comes with an extra pre-filter in the box.

• When to clean: You should clean the pre-filter at least every 6 months. If your home is particularly dusty or you have shedding pets, we recommend checking and cleaning it more frequently.

• How to clean: To clean the filter, remove it from the unit and gently tap it to remove dust, or rinse it with cool tap water. Important: The pre-filter must be completely dry before you re-install it, as a wet filter can damage the machine.

• How to replace: Simply slide the old pre-filter out and insert a new or clean, dry filter into the slot at the bottom of the unit.

Note: Removing the pre-filter will turn the unit off. This is normal and will not cause damage; the unit will turn back on once the filter is properly re-inserted.
